Understanding and recognising our negative thinking patterns and how these can influence how we feel and behave. Exploring how we can use techniques to think of things differently and impact positively on our wellbeing.
We will discuss the benefits & importance of sleep; exploring what can cause poor sleep patterns. We will explore the impact of both a healthy & unhealthy sleep pattern can on our physical and mental wellbeing & how we can take positive steps to improve our sleep routine.
We will explore what wellbeing means to you & discuss what happens in our brain to help us feel happy and healthy. We will discuss where you feel your wellbeing is currently & practical ways to maintain & improve it.
We will explore our understanding of confidence; discover our personal strengths and skills; recognising barriers to confidence and explore techniques that we can use to improve confidence and self-esteem.
We will explore how biology, genes and life experience, as well as other factors make you who you are & unique. We all need to feel included and valued regardless of our uniqueness. Explore the impact these different factors can have & the positive things we can do to support a sense of balanced mental wellbeing.
We will discuss what resilience is, exploring the effects of the past experiences can impact on our wellbeing; including our ability to bounce back, why resilience is important & explore techniques to help increase our personal resilience.
Develop an understanding of your strengths and areas to develop. Information on rights and the legal responsibility of employers regarding the disclosure of physical & mental health conditions, including guidance and how to have “that conversation” with potential employers.
